STORY

DARRYL HARRIS

THE

Darryl was born in Atlanta, Georgia but raised in Bessemer, Alabama. After not graduating from high school, Harris took up the responsibility of taking care of his family. But God had a plan, and Darryl had a dream. He dreamt of getting his GED and playing football.

After he earned his GED, he was accepted into the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He walked onto the UAB football team and was granted a full scholarship. During his four years on the team, Darryl held multiple positions, including wide receiver, kick off, kick off return and special teams.

While in college, Darryl worked with some exceptional trainers: Jeff Green, Chris Scarborough, and Greg Stevens. He interned under Stacey Torman, Director of Strength and Conditional at UAB in all sports. Darryl has also worked with professional athletes, including Matt McCants of the Oakland Raiders and Joe Webb of the Minnesota Vikings. He works with high school athletes in the recruiting process as well as those receiving athletic scholarships. From being a trainer at the YMCA, Darryl has worked with clients of various backgrounds, including heart attack and stroke survivors.

Darryl graduated in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in health education with a concentration in exercise science. A part of his dream was accomplished, and it was now time to reach out to other athletes and help them accomplish some of the goals they had set out to achieve. Darryl believes in walking in purpose to achieve all of the things God has placed on the inside of each and every one on earth. In order to achieve the ultimate goal of being an exceptional athlete, it takes hard work and dedication.

Darryl's mission is to help every student athlete he trains realize or exceed his or her potential athletically as well as academically.
